Toyota Motor Corporation announced it will invest 500 million in new funding for Joby Aviation a company developing “electric air taxis” for commercial passenger service. To be used as Uber Air Taxi.

This additional investment which will come in two equal parts with the first targeted to close later this year and the second in 2025 brings Toyota motor corporation’s total investment in Joby Aviation to to $894,000 U.S. dollars.
The investment are subject to regulatory approvals and certain other conditions one of the investment terms for the second part includes plans to establish a automatic manufacturing alliance for the first phase of commercialization the investment was announced during a
signing ceremony held at Toyota’s North American Regional headquarters in Plano, Texas.
